Nivine Mohamed Maktabi has followed family tradition and driven her passion for textiles and art into a career. Nivine established the boutique Oumnia, in Saifi Village in 2006: A concept store specializing in hand-woven Tribal & Decorative carpets and finely embroidered vintage and contemporary multipurpose textiles suiting modern and western interiors among unique pieces she collects from her travels. Today, what started as carpet designs evolved into the design of redefined Oriental patterns on soft and pure cashmere shawls created as a wearable fashion accessory.
