In their workshop located in Beirut, where designers and artisans from different social and cultural backgrounds meet daily, Lyliad, a young brand of Lebanese leather goods was born in 2020. Its creators wanted it to be upscale and in line with their values: artisanal know-how, eco-responsible awareness, good quality Lebanese confection. Leathers are generally selected for large products. Small leather goods are then made with the scraps from the cutting, which allows the brand to follow a zero waste policy.
The name of the brand derives from the Arabic word “لليد”, a tribute “to the Hand” of the persons who create these goods. Lyliad also refers to Homer’s long poem; a hint to the odyssey we would like our products to embark on with you.
